The University of the Peloponnese has been participating in the Erasmus+ Programme since 2007, recognizing that the successful implementation of its actions constitutes a key pillar of its internationalization strategy. Furthermore, the University of the Peloponnese has been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).
Within this framework, the Department of Food Science and Technology is fully aligned with the general objectives of the University of the Peloponnese and the principles of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (2021–2027), aiming to enhance student and staff mobility, to capitalize on and disseminate the outcomes of mobility activities, as well as to expand existing collaborations and develop new partnerships with universities in Europe and in Erasmus+ partner countries.
The mobility programme of the Department is organized in accordance with the Mobility Guide of the University of the Peloponnese, as published at the following link:

and concerns the mobility of incoming and outgoing students for studies and traineeships, as well as the mobility of incoming and outgoing academic and administrative staff for teaching and training purposes.
The Erasmus+ Programme for higher education offers undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as doctoral candidates, the opportunity to undertake part of their study programme (such as courses included in their curriculum or elective courses not offered at their home institution) or to carry out all or part of their undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral thesis in countries of the European Union or beyond (Erasmus+ International).
In addition, students are given the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ mobility for traineeships in partner institutions abroad or in other public or private organizations active in the field of food science and technology. Prior to their mobility, students are required to identify a host organization either from the list of suggested institutions available on the University of the Peloponnese website or on their own initiative.
Calls for applications for student mobility (for studies and traineeships) are announced by the Erasmus Office of the University of the Peloponnese twice per year: in September, for mobility during the spring semester of the same academic year, and in February, for mobility during the autumn semester of the following academic year. In cases beyond the above, including participation in Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), calls may be published at different periods, provided that sufficient funding is available.
The call for applications, along with the accompanying documents, is published on the Erasmus+ website of the University, as well as on the websites of the academic departments and the regional student services units.
Detailed information regarding participation requirements, the application process, funding, and other useful information for students, as well as for academic and administrative staff, is available on the University’s website: http://erasmus.uop.gr/
