Students of the Department can benefit from a range of benefits offered by administrative services of the University of the Peloponnese to facilitate their day-to-day life.

Institutional account

Both undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at the University of the Peloponnese are provided an institutional account that gives them access to online services of the

University of Peloponnese such as:
  • an academic email address and digital tools in Google Workspace's by Google.

  • office365 digital services.

  • access to the Electronic Secretariat for course registration per semester, updates, course grades and

  • certificate granting by the Department.

  • an asynchronous education website (eclass) which provides educational material for all courses of the

  • curriculum, announcements by teachers and the possibility to interact with students, etc.

  • the Internship website which significantly strengthens the effort to connect the University with the

  • labor market.

  • the Eudoxus.gr website that distributes free textbooks to students for each courses they attend per

  • semester

Accommodation

Accommodation is provided to eligible students of the Department at the Student Dormitory of Kalamata. The applications of first-year students are made within specific deadlines announced by the Finances Office of the Student Dormitory..

Students’ Food Services

The University campus in Antikalamos, where the Department of Food Science and Technology is
located, hosts a student restaurant offering free meals to eligible students. Student applications for free
meals are made within specific deadlines announced centrally. Students that are not eligible for free
meals may pay a low daily fee for a full menu (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

Counseling and Psychological Support Structure 

Counseling and Psychological Support Structure (WeCare https://wecare.uop.gr) provides free counseling and psychological support services are provided to students.

Medical, Nursing and Administrative Staff and its actions concern matters of feeding, housing, Erasmus+
programs and matters of medical care.

Student Advocate

The Student Advocate investigates cases of their own accord or upon a student’s request and mediates with the relevant bodies to resolve disputes between the student and the teaching staff or administrative staff.

Career Office

It provides support and information to students and graduates on issues such as: Postgraduate Studies, Scholarships, Career Planning, CV writing, cover letter and interview preparation, as well as the provision of phsychological support during their studies.
